Captain David Sullivan has the education, experience and personality to provide the safe sailing adventure you’ll cherish and talk about for years to come. David was born and raised in ‘The Old Whaling Capital Of The World’, New Bedford, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.

At the young age of ten he began to hone his sailing skills both on the waters of Buzzards Bay and in the classrooms of Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts. After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration his first career kept him in New England working with the medical profession, after which he became a published author. Yearning to sail beyond the waters of New England, David anxiously left everything behind for a number of years to set sail for the tropical islands of Bermuda, The Caribbean, and West Indies Bahamas. Here he fell in love with the tropics and decided to unpack and combine a new career (SAILBOAT CHARTERS) with his newfound love of sailing. After two years of teaching sailing skills to novices and receiving training in First Aid and CPR, he earned his Masters License in 1988 and SAILBOAT CHARTERS was born. From then until now he enjoys the fruits of his efforts and annually hosts dozens of sailing enthusiasts like yourself. An unusually large percentage of his guests return year after year, a true testament to his ability and likeable personality..
